During my time at Scotiabank, I worked on a range of applications and features across the capital-markets space. Because of bank policy, I’m not able to share screenshots or detailed visuals in my portfolio, but I’m always happy to talk about them in person. Here are a few projects that might be of interest.
A mobile-forward web app designed to help the Sales team book RFQs with support from the Structuring team. It was built to replace long, messy email threads and streamline the booking workflow. (Easily my favourite project.)
A browser-based tool that lets users submit and manage RFQ requests more efficiently, reducing back-and-forth and keeping everything in a single, trackable place.
A redesign and migration of a legacy platform that measures a client’s financial value and long-term potential. The work focused on modernizing the interface while keeping the complex underlying logic intact.
A trade-creation interface for the Structuring team. It allowed users to assemble OTC trades by selecting fields, conditions, and pricing details: a flexible “build your own ticket” concept.
An internal system for managing data types and adding new fields to trade tickets, helping teams maintain consistency and handle updates without relying on manual processes.
If you'd like to dig into any of these, just ask me during the interview.
I can share much more context there.
